He began his UFC career with five victories in a row before suffering a knockout loss to current champion Anderson Silva. He holds notable victories over Mike Swick, Jorge Rivera, Jorge Santiago, Patrick Côté, Alessio Sakara, Yoshihiro Akiyama, and Wanderlei Silva.
