Born and raised in Colorado Springs, Colorado, Scites pursued his passion for filmmaking by earning a degree from Colorado Film School and a Bachelor's in management from Regis University. His YouTube career took off in 2011, where he initially served as the cameraman and editor for JStuStudios before becoming an integral part of JStu. Scites is married to Mary Scites, with whom he shares three children: Barrett, Payton, and Aspen.
