He currently is Chairholder of the Canada Excellence Research Chair in Neuroplasticity at CERVO Brain Research Centre, U Laval, CANADA; Invited Professor at BIDMC, Harvard Medical School; Honorary Research Director at the Belgian National Fund for Scientific Research and founder at U Liège where he founded the ‘Coma Science Group’ and ‘GIGA Consciousness Research Unit’. He is Co-Founder of BRAIN-NM NeuroModulation Clinics Antwerp and Amsterdam and Mind Care International Foundation. Prof Laureys is a promoter of complementary medicine and author the international bestseller “The No-Nonsense Meditation Book” (Bloomsbury Publishing).
